A: Easy! |
Accommodations should be easy. You can choose from homestay, shared accommodations, or an apartment. Many students like homestay so they can practice their English. If you need privacy, you can choose an apartment. Students often change their accommodations as their needs change. Easy.
Note: most accommodations in Canada require one month notice to change. Check "Accommodations in Canada" for some advice on accommodations in Canada. |

|
There are many classes at E.L.T.C., (with different levels). If you want to change your class, it's OK! Go to the Registration office, speak to one of the staff people, change your class. Easy. |

A: Don't worry, no problem.

Choose the class you think is best for you. When you arrive at E.L.T.C., you can attend the class you chose. If you think it is the best class for you, you can stay in that class, or you can change your class. You have a week to be sure. |

Costs
Q:
Why is homestay in Edmonton cheaper than other cities?
A: Edmonton is the Capital City of one of the richest provinces in Canada!
|
Most things in Edmonton are less expensive. Our Province, Alberta, has a lot of resources, including oil and gas. Because we are a rich Province, we have no provincial sales tax. No taxes means everything is cheaper.
The homestay families pay less for utilities, so... homestay is cheaper! |
Q: Is ELTC expensive?
A: Not! (slang; meaning: 'no, it is not)
|
ELTC is not expensive. School prices are easily confusing.
You should always know how much you pay... per hour. It is easy. to calculate: COST divided by HOURS OF STUDY Now you know exactly how much you are paying for study. |
Airport Pickup
Q: I want to have an airport pickup. How can I ask you to arrange one for me?
A: If you require an airport pickup service, please indicate 'airport pickup' on your registration form and include $105 with your tuition fee.

|
We confirm your registration when we receive your registration form (which should be completed) and payment. |
Student Visa (Student Authorization)
Q:
How can I get Student Visa?
A: Since requirements for Student Authorization (Student Visa) can change, it is best to check with your closest Canadian Embassy or Consulate.
|
The Canadian Embassies and Consulates have the most accurate information.
Check here for a Visa Office near you
The Canadian Government Website also has good information and all the forms you need.

Rocky Mountains
Q: How can I go to the Rocky Mountains?
A: Very easy! Many of our students go there for the weekend.
|
You can drive. It takes about 3 1/2 hours. It takes about 5 hours by bus.
