Alberta Family Day in Edmonton 2006
on the Square and in City Hall,
(Sir Winston Churchill Square)

Last year, in 2006, the students from the English Language Training College joined the City of Edmonton to make Family Day very special for the children of Canada and especially Edmonton. Thanks to all the students at ELTC!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

Alberta Family Day in Edmonton 2007 is:
Monday, Feb. 19, 2007

But for 2 days prior (Saturday and Sunday):
4:30-8:00 p.m.
Location: Sir Winston Churchill Square

Our ELTC students will be inside the City Hall (nice and warm).  They will be helping the children make special glowing lanterns, (with special thanks to the City of Edmonton for their help). Talking with parents and children is always fun for everyone. Each gets to learn about the other's culture, and also a great opportunity to test your English in real conversation!

ALSO (Saturday and Sunday): FREE
Back by popular demand! Enjoy the great outdoors while watching a movie projected onto Canada's largest three-storey tall inflatable screen. This is an experience you won't soon forget. Admission is free.

The movies start at 5:45 p.m.
Chronicles of Narnia     Saturday, Feb. 17 (PG)
Happy Feet                  Sunday, Feb. 18 (G)

Snacks
Vendors will be available to take care of all your movie snack cravings. On sale, we'll have a variety of tasty treats including: Hot Chocolate, Popcorn and Pop.

Be sure to bring a blanket and a portable-chair. Heaters and a bonfire will be nearby to help you warm up and to keep those winter chills away.

For more information call (780) 496-8200.

Inside City Hall there are also other activities: magicians, face painting, giant chess, hot chocolate and door prizes!
