New Program!

Post-Secondary English at King's (PEAK)

In partnership with the King's University College (TKUC), ELTC now offers a new program called PEAK. The program designed to provide international students with the English language skills needed to study and live in Canada.

The three streams of the PEAK program will allow students with varying levels of English proficiency to acquire the knowledge and experience necessary to excel in post-secondary education. Upon successful completion of the PEAK program, and meeting other academic requirements, students may be admitted for further study at TKUC.

The PEAK program consists of three different streams:

Stream 1: ELTC students
This stream is for students who apply directly to ELTC and come to study English language there. Once a student has completed a program at ELTC, they can apply to become a students at King's. In order to do so, they will need to complete the ELTC programs with a score of 9 or successfully complete a TOEFL examination. They must also meet other academic requirements (i.e. have the prerequisite high school or other courses).

Stream 2: PEAK Students
This stream is a program through which students are admissible to King's except for their English proficiency. They will be admitted to King's in the appropriate program pending their successful completion of the PEAK program.

Stream 3: Blended Program Students
This stream is for King's students who have difficulties functioning in the English language. These students will be placed in a blended program with both University courses and PEAK courses.
